The Smith Family is a national, independent children's charity that helps disadvantaged Australian children by unlocking opportunities through education and learning. Last year, The Smith Family supported more than 126,000 children last year. Each year The Salvation Army provides assistance to over one million Australians in need! Their Red Shield Appeal is their annual fundraising drive to help finance their vast network of social and community services. Fit & Well – Making a New Years Resolution?
Have you made resolutions in the past? Have they ended in February? This time round make them achievable. See below some tips on making resolutions for 2011 and if you need more help remember online or telephone coaching is a great option!
• Create a plan – you will find setting a goal without formulating a plan is merely wishful thinking. For your resolution to have resolve it must translate into clear steps.
• Create your plan immediately – procrastinating is easy, doing can be a little harder. Make sure you don’t delay in creating a plan
• Write down your resolution and your plan – once it’s on paper/computer, it is easier to track your success.
• Think year round not just New Year’s – we all know nothing big gets achieved in a day, think baby steps! Your New Year’s resolutions should be a starting point for the whole year.
• Remain flexible – plans change, life has a funny way of throwing things at us unexpectedly. You may even find that over time, the goal may change slightly. Don’t freak out, be flexible and appreciate every little bit of success you have along the way. Read more here from Performance Body Works.

Christmas 2010

Welcome
It seems like last week we celebrated the start of a new year and now Christmas is upon us and I wonder again where the year went. It was a landmark year for DIAL-AN-ANGEL when we celebrated 25 years of service to families and businesses for Melbourne and Perth. I know that in a blink the next year will speed by and 2012 will be here. It’s a huge milestone when we will be celebrating 45 years since the first DIAL-AN-ANGEL office opened its doors in Lindfield. Not many family owned and operated businesses in Australia can say that!
As we look towards 2011 I am optimistic that we will have another prosperous year and there is no doubt that we could not do it without the incredible contribution of all the Angels and staff. Thank you to all our wonderful and loyal clients who make it a pleasure to be of service to you each and every year.
May I wish you all peace and goodwill for the time of celebration that is ahead of us.
